RMIT University service to the aerospace and aviation community is over sixty years. It supports the largest aerospace and aviation education program in Australia. Programs range across pre-apprenticeship to associate degree and undergraduate to postgraduate levels with multiple entry and exit pathways that covers science, engineering, technology, operations, management and support.
RMIT University undertakes research and consultancy in a wide range of aerospace and aviation topics.
The Sir Lawrence Wackett Centre for Aerospace Design Technology is RMIT’s commercial centre. It provides research, consultancy and training in partnership with the industry to address real-world issues, with expertise in aircraft design and analysis, aircraft testing and computer aided design. Customised short courses cover Design Approval and Airworthiness Regulations, including courses on advance aerospace design technologies.
The Wackett Centre is designated by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia as a Centre for aircraft design and certification, including aircraft materials and components. |
